This workshop provided delegates with an understanding of the framework underpinning the Annual Governance Statement: Delivering Good Governance in Local Government CIPFA and Solace 2016. It considered the principles and shared examples of what good practice might look like, together with providing advice on putting it into practice.
This workshop helped delegates to gain a deeper understanding of the framework principles and consider the practical aspects of putting them into practice, including:
- developing a local code,
- obtaining assurance on governance,
- preparing the Annual Governance Statement.
