These workshops – held on 20 September in Chester, 25 September in York, 26 September in London and 2 October in Cardiff – looked at the challenges of financial resilience and provided delegates with the tools to manage and develop financial resilience.
This series encompassed a wide range of issues, key elements were:
- Ensuring financial strategies are robust.
- Improving financial control and risk management
- Sharpening up costing approaches
- Ensuring that authorities look to the future and plan for it, especially in the funding sphere
- Increasing the training and development of staff who are faced with new and constantly evolving challenges
