This is a single issue consultation on proposed amendments to the Code of Practice on Public Sector Pensions Finance Knowledge and Skills in response to user feedback and changes to the public sector pensions landscape since the code was first launched in September 2011.
The changes centre on two key points:
- the adequacy of skilled resources to meet the demands of pension scheme administration
- and the scope of the code with regard to individuals involved in the wider governance of the fund.
Comments on these changes are welcomed from all public sector pension scheme stakeholders, particularly those in local government.
