All graduates can sign up to study with CIPFA and become a Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA).

You could be granted exemptions from some CIPFA papers if you have a relevant finance or accountancy related degree.

If you are looking for a job then many of our partner employers offer graduate schemes where you work as a finance trainee while studying for the CIPFA Professional Qualification. You will earn a salary and progress as you gain valuable knowledge and experience.


How to register as a student

Finance related degrees

If you have a finance related degree you maybe entitled to exemptions. Use our Exemption tool to find out which papers you are exempt from. Exemptions cost £100 per paper. This list outlines all required exams.

Non-finance related degrees

Holders of all degrees can study to become chartered accountants with CIPFA.
