In recent years the level of skills, knowledge and experience expected of those responsible for decision making in public sector pensions has increased significantly.
This new guidance builds on the work that has already been done to improve the skills and knowledge base of those who serve on decision-making bodies – but it also recognises the importance of high quality advice to support them.
The framework is available in two separate versions, one aimed at elected representatives and non-executives in the public sector, and the other for pensions practitioners in the public sector. The publication of these two new titles is a major step forward in raising the standard of public sector pensions management.
For the first time, those who support the work of decision-making bodies will be able to see exactly what is expected of them and will be able to identify the level of skills and knowledge they need to be effective in their work.
This publication is available as a book and a bookmarked PDF.
