This course has been designed for anyone tasked with leading a change project within their organisation.

It will focus on the human aspects of change – how are people likely to react, what will they need to know and when, and what are the likely reasons for resistance? It will prompt you to consider what leadership approaches are required in the planning and implementation phases to overcome resistance, ensure that people ‘buy-in’ to the change, and enable the best possible outcomes.

About the training

The course starts by reflecting on leadership itself; what skills will you and your organisation need to plan, implement and lead others through the change. In essence we are considering your readiness for change as a leader.

It will then cover what indicates whether a change is necessary; that’s to say how the reasoning and logic for change is made clear. This is vitally important in getting people motivated and supportive and involved.

The course goes on to look at how to plan change from a people perspective; what are all the ingredients to be considered in terms of people and processes? In support of all stages of the change process, including the planning, the course will investigate the use of change management models to break down and simplify the component parts of the change.

 
 

How is it the training taught?

The training is delivered online on our learning platforms and includes 8 modules and a short knowledge test.

It is accessible via any internet-enabled device and enables you to progress through the topic areas at your own pace.  

 

Learning outcomes

This course will enable you:

1. To understand the leadership skills needed to successfully deliver change, and be able to plan how to address any gaps your own skills and knowledge

2. To be able to proactively manage the whole change process from planning, to implementation, to making changes stick

3. To have consideration for the way stakeholders will be affected by the change process and acquire the necessary skills and techniques to provide support and gain buy-in from those involved. 

4. To understand how structures, processes and systems in the organisation can be ap-plied, changed or improved to support the change process
