Event summary
CIPFA's e-learning package designed to increase fraud awareness in your organisation. The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, brought in a new Failure to Prevent Fraud offence so it is more critical than ever to assess fraud risk in your organisation and ensure that all employees are aware of the risks and potential impact of fraud.
About this event
The package is accessed via CIPFA’s online learning platform and includes the following:
- A course on fraud prevention and the consequence of failing to prevent fraud. This has been designed for the person responsible for ensuring compliance with fraud legislation and good practice within an organisation. It covers:
- understanding the need for legislation and brief history of relevant legislation
- the UK government’s fraud strategy
- methods for protecting your organisation from fraud and prosecution
- an overview of the Fraud Prevention Framework.
- A short fraud awareness e-learning module that can be freely shared with all staff. This course provides an overview of fraud – what it is, and how it can be recognised and avoided. Duration
The in-depth course carries three CPD hours.
The short e-learning module carries one CPD hour (can be shared with all staff).

The e-learning costs £350 + VAT.
