CIPFA Cymru's (Wales) presence includes a dedicated office and a CIPFA branch. Between them, they provide a programme of events, awards, training programmes, qualifications, an annual conference and more.

About us

Formed in 2011, the Cymru (Wales) region has over 1,000 members, including 139 student members, and 183 retired members. Region activities take place each year throughout Wales.

And finally, a reminder for anyone who may need support. CIPFA's mental health and wellbeing hub is available to you and anyone in your personal or workplace networks. The hub brings together information and support on a wide range of topics. Access is free of charge, anonymous and there’s no need to register.


 

President Dewi Morgan

Headshot of Dewi MorganDewi was elected President in March 2023. Dewi is the Head of Finance at Cyngor Gwynedd, a role he has held since January 2022, and in addition has been the Section 151 Officer of Eryri National Park Authority since July 2023. Dewi is passionate about championing the voice of CIPFA members, contributing to national discussions on the role of public finance leaders and ensuring Wales is well represented in how the Institute develops. A fluent Welsh-speaker, Dewi is also a fervent advocate of increasing the use of the Welsh language by CIPFA in Wales.
