CIPFA invites comments from interested parties on this consultation draft, which aims to place the advice of the Role of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in Local Government in the context of the financial administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme and is intended to be used in conjunction with the Statement on the role of the CFO in Local Government.

The Role of the CFO in Local Government set out the role and responsibilities of CFOs in Local Government and was published in 2010.
