We are looking for a Head of Finance and Deputy Section 151 Officer to join our Finance and Procurement Leadership Team to help us deliver our vision for the future of our communities and residents. The successful person will share our values, commitment, and motivation to make a difference, providing continuity, and joining us in our pledge to create a resilient and more sustainable future.

Qualified to degree level with a CCAB qualification or equivalent, plus considerable breadth of post qualification experience, including working with and leading teams, maintaining high performance, and seeking to continuously improve services. The ideal candidate will have experience of successfully leading a financial management service in either a local government or other political environment. We need someone who can deliver challenging and at times complex information and messages in a simple easy to understand way, someone who inspires trust and confidence with their peers, councillors, and partner organisations.

We are looking for someone who will be an energetic leader, who can shape and motivate a multi disciplined team. You will have a strong understanding of the complexities of Local Government finance but also have a commercial mindset and a strong desire to innovate using technology and embedding lean and efficient processes. A management qualification is desirable.
