About the e-learning
CIPFA has partnered with Intuition Know-How to give you access to over 500 online tutorials on investment and financial services for the public sector.
The e-learning is designed to help local authorities comply with the requirements of MiFID II (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive).
Intuition is recognised as one of the leading global financial training companies, and Know-How is written by experts and provides content for all levels of knowledge.
The catalogue of courses covers all areas of financial services, including:

Pricing
Option 1 – minimum one licence – term 12 months – £550 per person per annum with access to all training modules
Option 2 – minimum one licence – term 24 months – £500 per person per annum with access to all training modules
Option 3 – minimum 60 e-learning tutorials @ £1,250 per annum – can be used over a 24 month period. For example:
- five users doing 12 tutorials each = 60
- two users doing 30 tutorials each = 60
You can combine options if you wish, for example one user licence + 60 tutorials. The above prices exclude VAT.

Recommended course structure
CIPFA has grouped courses and modules into an easily digestible structure with a recommended route for progression for each level being spread over successive years:
- CIPFA – Level 1 (Part 1)
- CIPFA – Level 1 (Part 2)
- CIPFA – Level 2
- CIPFA – Level 3
Optional module groups
- CIPFA – Finance for Non-financial Managers
- CIPFA – Introduction to the City
However, you may decide to add courses and modules or build your own course structure to address your organisational needs as well as addressing your career progression needs.
Recommended progression
CIPFA recommends completing one level per year, starting with CIPFA – Level 1 (Part 1).
This represents approximately 12 modules each year which can be scheduled to suit your own circumstances, with a certificate of achievement awarded after completing each level.
