This event is designed to provide a high-level summary of the key year-end employment tax reporting requirements. This includes completing Forms P11d and PAYE Settlement Agreements.


It will also discuss the upcoming changes to P11d’s and the move to the compulsory payrolling of benefits from April 2026. This will include discussing what are the key issues to consider in preparation for this. It will not cover payroll year end reporting or compliance.

About this event

Who should attend?

Anyone who wishes to understand, or is responsible for, what should be reported via P11d or PAYE Settlement Agreements. Anyone involved in providing data that is used in completing forms P11d or the PAYE Settlement Agreement.

Anyone involved in the design of their employers move to payrolling benefits from 2026.

How will you benefit from attending?

Following this course, you should have sufficient knowledge to allow you to consider if your processes and data is sufficient to allow your employer to complete forms P11d and the PAYE Settlement Agreement compliantly.

You will understand the compulsory change to payrolling benefits to be introduced from April 2026 and have an understanding of the key considerations and changes this will require to your existing process.

Speaker - Tom Smith, Director, Global Employer Services (GES), Deloitte

Tom is a director in the UK-based GES team. He leads their offering to the public sector across the UK (including the NHS, central government, local government, housing, charities and education). He has over 20 years of experience providing tax advice. For the last 13 of these he specialised in providing employment tax advice to private and public sector clients. He has experience of assisting clients with all areas of employment tax but most notably employment status, CIS, HMRC enquiries, reviewing existing processes and policies to make them more robust, expenses and termination payments.

Speaker - Ed Kaye

Ed is an Associate Director in Deloitte’s GES team, with over 16 years’ experience specialising in UK employment taxes, and is a senior member of the team leading Deloitte’s employment tax offering to the public sector. He works closely with a range of employers in the public sector, advising on a range of employment tax matters, including key risk areas such as employment status/IR35, benefits and expenses and the employment tax considerations of hybrid working. In recent years, he has worked closely with many public sector organisations, including Central and Local Government departments, around their compliance with IR35/off-payroll working legislation and the tax impact of levelling-up and hybrid working.
