This self-assessment tool is designed to support the committee responsible for undertaking scrutiny. It updates the 2014 tool and is consistent with the 2021 edition of the Code of Practice. It can be used by the committee itself or can support a review by the those responsible for treasury management or internal audit. It can help identify gaps in knowledge and training needs and encourages planning for improvements.
