CIPFA’s internal audit seminar focused on major areas where internal auditors can add value and support their organisational objectives. The seminar considered the challenges to professional ethics that internal auditors can face and the keynote speaker set out a chief executive’s perspective on internal audit.
The seminar examined key areas of risk for public sector organisations, including financial resilience, culture and ethics and project risks and demonstrated how internal auditors can provide assurance and add value.
The seminar also covered major themes for internal audit plans in 2018/19 including culture and ethics, financial resilience and cyber security.
