The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has published a new research report Extended Enterprise, Managing Risks in Complex 21st Century Organisations. The IRM has agreed that subscribers to the CIPFA Better Governance Forum will be able to download a copy of the practitioner resources as well as the executive summary.
The resources look at how organisations manage and understand risks in their network of relationships with other organisations. This network includes not only suppliers, but also outsourced services and a range of formal and informal collaborative arrangements.
The resources for practitioners includes a series of chapters written by members of the IRM's project group on different aspects managing risk. It includes a chapter on partnerships, collaboration and shared services in the public sector, questions for the board and risk communication.
