These workshops, held in July 2013, detailed the latest developments in efficiency and governance, and allowed attendees to debate them with colleagues and industry experts.
There has been a tremendous focus on the efficiency and governance structures used across the LGPS since Lord Hutton's final report and this is driving much of the proposed changes which will emerge from the implementation of the Public Service Pensions Bill and the establishment of a National Pensions Board for the LGPS. This includes the role of Local Pensions Board and The Pensions Regulator and how these changes will impact upon governance structures within individual funds.
