Initiatives to reduce demand and secure better value

18-10-2017

Adult social care and children’s services now account for 70% of non-schools council spending.  It is the area subject to the most demographic pressures and volatility of demand.

These workshops looked at making realistic assessments of the savings from reducing demand and securing better value from recent innovations across health and social care.

The event drew upon recent assessments of the benefits from these innovations, including those within the Vanguard Programme, sustainability and transformation plans, devolution areas, and ADASS, ADCS, CIPFA and LGA case studies.
