On 22 May 2024, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced a General Election for 4 July. This General Election special briefing from the Police and Fire Network summarises and analyses the main political parties’ manifesto pledges in relation to policing and crime and has some implications for fire and rescue services. The briefing also includes a summary of pledges regarding public services in general or issues specific to an area. The parties are covered in alphabetical order. At the time of writing, the Scottish National Party has not published its manifesto.
