In early December, the CIPFA Police and Fire Network held two half-day events on the introduction of force management statements (FMSs) and their implications for annual governance statements (AGSs). The events aimed to any identify finance, governance and audit issues involved and how we can dovetail the FMS with the chief constable’s AGS.
The attached briefing contains the feedback to HMICFRS on the discussions at the events, which I have sent to HMICFRS as part of their consultation process. I would like to thank all of the delegates for their contributions to the discussions.
