CIPFA Fellowship and the annual lecture 2022

The 2022 annual Fellowship lecture on 17 February was a warm, friendly, 'in conversation with' style event with the BBC's Roger Harrabin, past CIPFA President Andy Hardy and CIPFA CEO Rob Whiteman CBE.

Despite a change of venue, this year’s Fellowship lecture was an enjoyable evening of camaraderie and conversation surrounding the ever-increasing problem of climate change, with a particular focus on its effects on the provision of public services and policy making. There was lots of interaction with and questions from Fellows in the audience.

What are the benefits of CIPFA Fellowship?

CIPFA Fellowship comes with a host of perks, an invitation to the annual lecture being just one of them.

If you are a longstanding member with ten or more years’ continuous service, the Institute welcomes your application for this enhanced membership status. Being a Fellow offers the chance for close networking with CIPFA and a select group of peers and colleagues in public finance, as well as added prestige to your professional status. Successful applicants are entitled to use the designation FCPFA (Fellow Chartered Public Finance Accountant).

The benefits don’t end there. As a Fellow, you will also receive formal certification of your status and a Fellows plaque. You will also receive an annual digest of the most significant works from Public Money and Management, CIPFA’s leading academic journal. You are also warmly welcomed to our professional advocacy network, where you can influence developments in public finance by contributing to CIPFA consultations and policy discussions.

This fantastic membership upgrade is available from just £100 a year on top of your annual membership fee – that’s less than £10 a month! If this is of interest, apply now for the chance to elevate your association with CIPFA and, of course, for the chance to attend next year’s annual lecture.
