CIPFA Midlands: the 2021 Sixth Form Games

The CIPFA Sixth Form Games made a triumphant return in 2021.

This year’s Sixth Form Games were a little different – they were held virtually, but their return was a welcome one after last year’s cancellation.

CIPFA has received incredibly positive feedback following the Games. Ian Chafer, Senior Trainer at CIPFA Training and Education Centre (CETC), who volunteered this year, commented:

"It was a very interesting and enjoyable day at the virtual CIM Sixth Form Games on 23 June. A virtual event certainly poses some additional IT challenges (including those caused by individual school's firewalls). All the schools (not just the winners) and volunteers were able to take something positive from the day. In addition, for me there was also a chance to chat to a few of our recent and current students who were acting as enablers/helpers."

Teachers have also been quick to offer their feedback and encouragement for the Games, with one commenting:

"Thank you very much for another very well organised and productive day that I know, despite the technical issues at our end, our students gained a great deal from. Please extend our gratitude to your colleagues too."

Congratulations to the winners!
