Welcome to CIPFA Europe

UK map

CIPFA Europe represents the professional interests of CIPFA members living and working in Europe. It has members in 15 countries.

CIPFA members working in Europe have the opportunity to keep up to date with professional developments and aid their continuing professional development by attending the group's annual seminar and other events. These provide the opportunity for a positive exchange of ideas and support links with CIPFA in London.

Of the members working in Europe, most work on a permanent or temporary basis for one of the European institutions in Brussels or Luxembourg. Others work in the private sector in various countries.

And finally, a reminder for anyone who may need support. CIPFA’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub is available to you and anyone in your personal or workplace networks. The hub brings together information and support on a wide range of topics. Access is free of charge, anonymous and there’s no need to register.

Statement on European Group status

The European Group is currently reviewing its mode of operation and giving consideration to the best way to achieve its main objectives, which are to deliver services to members and for members to support CIPFA in delivering its objectives.

During this period there will be reduced activity in terms of provision of major events for members, while a new structure is developed.

It is planned to take this important consultation work forward over the next two to three years with the CIPFA secretariat, the CIPFA regional forum and the relevant CIPFA Boards (International and Students & Members).

The Group hopes to continue work with colleagues in CIPFA during this time on the provision of services to members and in supporting the development and implementation of the Insitute's international objectives.
