Information sharing agreements for billing authorities

In January 2017 the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) produced two documents:

• Information Sharing Agreement – England
• Information Sharing Agreement – Wales

These were updated on 25 July and now require billing authorities in England and Wales to complete and return the information sharing protocol (ISP) and information sharing agreement in order to receive information through the Local Authority Information Gateway. 

The ISP sets out the overarching arrangements for all information that’s shared by the VOA with the billing authority. The information sharing agreement sets out the specific arrangements for the sharing of data by the VOA with billing authorities in both England and Wales.
