Frequently Asked Questions

Registration and login

Why do I need to register?
You need to register to use TISonline so that when you log on, we can provide access to the correct information streams according to your organisation’s subscription.

I have forgotten my password
Just click on 'Forgot Your Password' in the Login box on the right hand side of the homepage, and follow the instructions. If you have any difficulties in logging on, you can also contact us at E: customerservices@cipfa.org.

Does my organisation have a single login name and password?
No, each member of your organisation must register separately and log in using their own email address and password so that they can set their personal online preferences.

How can I change my password?
Go to MyCIPFA and click on ‘change password’.

I have registered but I can’t log in

If you have registered successfully and received your password, but you are unable to log in:

  • check that you are entering the correct email address and password with no mistakes (extra spaces, hyphens, letters etc)
  • do not rely on Windows auto-complete as this may be using the incorrect details
  • make sure that you are logging in with the email address that you registered with, and the password you were sent (or your new password if you have changed it)
  • cut and paste the password from the original email into the login box.

If you still experience difficulties, contact us at E: customerservices@cipfa.org.

Do I have to log in each time I visit?
If you tick the ‘remember me on this computer’ option when you log in, you will remain logged in each time you visit the website unless you click on Log Off, or do not visit the website for 30 days.

Can I log in from any PC or laptop?
Yes, your subscription allows you to log in from any computer with internet access. Just go to www.cipfa.org/tisonline and log in as normal.

What happens if my details change?
You can change your name, address, email address and password at MyCIPFA. Your subscription access may change if you move to another organisation.

Subscription

Which information streams does my organisation subscribe to?
You can view the information streams you have access to by going to MyCIPFA.

I am a CIPFA member. Does this mean I can access TISonline?
You will only be able to access TISonline if you or your organisation has a subscription. To check whether your organisation subscribes, go to MyCIPFA or contact us at E: customerservices@cipfa.org.

My organisation subscribes to TISonline. Who can access the website?
Anyone in your organisation can access TISonline, but each user must register individually first. When a user registers our system will automatically provide access to their organisation’s subscription.

How can I access an information stream that I do not subscribe to?
You can only access the full content of information streams that you subscribe to. Contact us at E: tisonline@cipfa.org if you wish to upgrade your organisation’s subscription to include other information streams, or you can use the online order form.

The website says I don’t subscribe to a service but I know I do – what’s happened?
It may be that you have logged on with details which the system does not recognise. Make sure you are logging in using your work email address. Check the name of your organisation as shown on the MyCIPFA page. Check with your organisation that they have not changed their subscription. If you are unable to resolve the problem through these means, contact us at E: customerservices@cipfa.org for help.

How much does it cost to subscribe to TISonline?

Subscription prices vary depending on whether or not you subscribe to the full service or individual information streams, and your type of organisation. For current TISonline subscription rates, see our order form.

How do I renew my subscription?
For existing subscribers, we will send a renewal notice to the nominated contact within your organisation at least 30 days prior to the end of the subscription year. The subscription year runs from 1 April to 31 March the following year.
