The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) has published an information letter regarding possible changes to Council Tax Reduction Scheme Regulations 2012.
This letter relates to possible changes to the Council Tax Reduction Schemes (Prescribed Requirements) (England) Regulations 2012. However, following consultation with the Department for Work and Pensions that in respect of mixed-age couples and Local Council Tax Support (LCTS), it does not consider that any further legislative changes are required to achieve the outcome intended by the reforms announced in May 2019.
