The Valuation Office Agency has updated its publication on how billing authorities can assist the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) in updating rating lists and the information they need to provide. The update, printed in English and Welsh, sets out the Valuation Office Agency’s views on how the agency and authorities can work more effectively together.
It also aligns with the UK government’s ‘tell us once’ policy, as taxpayers will only provide information once. The agency hopes that the document helps anybody involved in submitting billing authority reports (BARs) or gathers information for their submission.
The new guidance is available on the GOV.UK website: Billing authority submissions standards.
